Lucy Tamez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics and brings a wealth of experience from her years teaching middle and high school physics. As former Science Department Head at a distinguished K-12 private school in Mexico, she played a crucial role in elevating science education for five years. Since moving to Florida 22 years ago, Lucy has maintained her commitment to teaching excellence, earning certification to teach Physics (grades 6-12) and a Substitute Teacher Certificate from The School Board of Broward County.

For the past two decades, Lucy has been the visionary behind Bright & Smart, a program she founded to inspire young learners through the latest computer science and robotics developments. Drawing on resources and research from prestigious institutions like the MIT Media Lab, Carnegie Mellon Robotics Institute, and Tufts University, Lucy has developed a hands-on curriculum designed to engage children in these fields. Her work reflects a deep dedication to creating impactful educational experiences, blending innovative materials with practical application to cultivate curiosity and foundational skills in young minds.
